Eight parts, I had lots of time out issues. White House meeting logs and exective orders suggest close cooperation between Obama and the IRS union, and that the IRS union was in a position to influence or control what happened.

(IRS union was apparently heavily politically active against the Tea Party.)

I’m not sure that I buy that proving direct involvement of Obama himself should be a necessarily a core goal of investigating this. Obama, and to a lesser extent Clinton appear to have created enabling conditions. Some of Obama’s turbulent priest episodes are a matter of public record. That there was little concern over the appearance of impropriety, maybe even a lack of due diligence, can easily be shown.

The higher priority questions must be the scope and the mechanisms of such a thing happening. Absent conclusive answers there, the scope of the illness, we cannot size the medicine to it. All medicines are poisons. Would disbanding/busting the IRS union be too much? Would it be enough? We can’t know at this point. Should we drastically cut government, to fit receipts already taken, and take revenue collection off line for a time, while slowly thrashing things over? Again, this is still early in the proces, and we can neither entirely rule it out, nor just jump right to it.

Note that the ‘98 ‘reform’ that supposedly had this as an unforeseen result would have been under Clinton. There having been some level of foresight and intent involved is not impossible.

Also note that they were apparently patching things over until 2008. I wonder what could have happened to cause them to quit around then?

Washington Post reports that Lamar Alexander says some stuff that I’m understanding as Sebelius extorting private money to pay for public projects that Congress won’t fund.

It is almost like there was a lot of stuff simmering away on the back burner, as if the Obama Administration is constitutionally unable to avoid wrongdoing when not watched closely, and much of it is now all coming out in a rush.

I swear I was looking for a tap handle.
