A sub stuffed with cocaine was caught by the Costa Rican Coast Guard. The AP Reports
The 49-foot craft was found Friday, 330 miles off the coast near the national park of Isla del Coco, Security Minister Fernando Berrocal said. Four people were arrested.He said it was the first time such a vessel was seized near the coast.

And the operation was similar. The C-Boat could only submerge just beneath the surface using snorkels. Which is smart because that would foil much of our radar surveillance. These guys were very lucky that they didn’t hit weather. I’ll bet the gozintas and gozoutas could take on quite a bit of water.

You’d figure that high speed drug runners who could build a sub would at least spring for a deck gun. Now where’s the pride in a job well done in todays kids? That’s getting kinda sloppy. In the old Miami Vice days a respectable cigarette boat runner would never allow his transport to be so blasé.
