Billary Making Another White House Run

After continually denying that she ever had presidential ambitions, Hillary Rodham (Rodham-Clinton, or just Clinton?  I fucking forget.) finally quit bullshitting the American people and announced that she is going to run for president.

Jan. 20, 2006 — Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has announced that she is forming an exploratory committee for president, thereby launching a bid to become the first female chief executive of the United States.

“I’m in,” she said on a Web site, hillaryclinton.com. “And I’m in to win.

“As a senator, I will spend two years doing everything in my power to limit the damage George W. Bush can do,” Clinton’s statement added. “But only a new president will be able to undo Bush’s mistakes and restore our hope and optimism.”

While the timing of the news was a closely guarded secret, the announcement itself is not all together surprising. The junior senator from New York has been considering a presidential run for months.

You can read the whole thing here.

“Considering a presidential run for months”?  Are you kidding me?  She’s been planning her presidential run ever since her douchebag hubby got sworn into office back in 1993.  This is probably the biggest “non-story” of all time.  Sort of like reporting that the sun came up in the east this morning—-with a prediction that it will set in the west.

Still, I think the presidential primaries are going to be fun this time around.  The Democrats have pretty well worked themselves into a lather, and two of their “rock stars” (Obama and Mrs. Bill) will be jockeying for the nomination.  It’ll be interesting to see how they go after one another.

Personally, I think that the primaries ought to be settled in Thunderdome.  It would be freakin’ awesome to see Obama and Clinton going after each other with mallets, rusty blades, and chainsaws, while the Koz Kidz hang on the steel rungs of the massive cage, chanting “Two men enter…  one man leave!”

That would be pretty sweet.

The Primary House of Pain

Man, I think I’m on to something here.
