Proof positive that when any Liberal starts wanting to tax you, the people, for a new program the odds are that they are looking for something for nothing. Early last week CBS reported a short blurb on the rebuttal speaker to President Bush’s weekend address.
And tomorrow, a 12-year-old boy who receives SCHIP benefits will read the weekly Democratic radio address. The boy, Graeme Frost of Baltimore, who suffered severe brain injuries in a car accident a few years ago, says he may not have survived his injuries and the follow up therapy if he hadn’t been receiving the federal health benefits.
Sad, isn’t it. Particularly when you hear that his Dad is a poor woodworker and mommy just now got a job. As the Baltimore Sun reported:
“Bonnie Frost works for a medical publishing firm; her husband, Halsey, is a woodworker. They are raising their four children on combined income of about $45,000 a year. Neither gets health insurance through work.”
What’s really sad is that the whole thing is a scam. That today’s version of Tiny Tim…Tiny Graeme…is a child of the wealthy elite. As icwhatudo of Free Republic discovered.
The real story is that it’s all a lie, most likely including Bonnie and Halsey’s 1040 to the IRS. These scumbags had their children in a private school that costs $20,000 per year each. No wonder they needed health care assistance. You have to be pretty broke to pay 95% of your salary to education.
Except that scumbags Bonnie and Halsey own a half-million buck home. The scumbag boss who denied scumbags Bonnie and Halsey their medical insurance? That would be scumbag Halsey who owns his own woodworking and design business.
As icwhatyoudo says:
One has to wonder that if time and money can be found to remodel a home, send kids to exclusive private schools, purchase commercial property and run your own business… maybe money can be found for other things…maybe Dad should drop his woodworking hobby and get a real job that offers health insurance rather than making people like me (also with 4 kids in a 600sf smaller house and tuition $16,000 less per kid and no commercial property ownership) pay for it in my taxes.
Frostworks, scumbag Halsey’s company, pays for yellowpage ads in not only the Baltimore area but also in the DC regional book. That ain;t cheap. Maybe he ought to use some of that money to take care of his family instead of using the government’s boot to force us to pay for his. Maybe he ought to be a man and a Dad and get quality care for his kids. Even if it meant, like I did, getting a part time job to insure that there was healthcare benefits for my family.
And I, too, am a woodworker and designer.
