I offer you installment number two for your consideration…
John Edwards (D)
Okay, so of all the media outlets, National Enquirer scoops the rest of the elite journalistic crowd by breaking the story of the John Edwards love child while he is trying to get the Democratic nomination for president. Of course the main stream media continuously claimed there was not a shred of evidence to go on so don’t drag the man through the slime, yada, yada, yada. Oh, and his poor wife has cancer so he’s obviously innocent and everyone accusing him of cheating on Elizabeth is a big fat dick.
Of course we later learn that it is in fact true and the ambulance-chasing jerk finally admits to the affair, but still hasn’t claimed the kid as his own. Classy.
Sadly, this would have been infinitely more entertaining if he had actually won the nomination. Oh well, I guess there’s always 2012.
Bill Richardson (D)
Former Clintonista and sitting governor of New Mexico who was selected to be Barack Obama’s commerce secretary, but had to bow out due to his own “pay to play” scandal involving juicy state contracts in return for political contributions. He’s currently under investigation, but since his buddy Barack is in charge I’m guessing nothing will come of it.
Sheila A. Dixon (D)
Our friend Sheila currently serves the citizens of Baltimore as their mayor. Unfortunately for this energetic and popular leader, she’s been indicted on something like twelve felony charges. Most of this circles around “gifts” that she’s received from all sorts of people, namely her boyfriend (that’s not the boyfriend in question pictured above) who just happens to be a wealthy local developer. So I’m not exactly sure if this one classifies as a money or sex scandal. You be the judge.
Sam Adams (D)
This one really pisses me off because I really like drinking Samuel Adams Boston Lager and now I feel somewhat dirty drinking it. But I digress…
The mayor of Portland, Oregon got caught up in quite a firestorm recently when it was discovered that he was boinking a teenage male page that formerly worked for him. As far as we know the boy was at the age of consent, so I guess it’s cool. I guess.
Whether or not it’s cool with the citizens of Portland is another issue altogether.
Caroline Kennedy (D)
Daughter of slain president John F Kennedy, dearest Caroline was recently considered by Democratic Governor Paterson of New York to take over Hillary Clinton’s senate seat. This kicked up quite a popular uprising since Caroline’s life accomplishments up until now have pretty much centered around being a Kennedy, going to social functions, being a Kennedy, talking about the environment, being a Kennedy, yachting and being a Kennedy. This seemed a tad underwhelming to people who were looking for a bit more substance in their congressional leaders.
Then, rumors came out of some nanny-gate issues, and some other tax problems (Taxes. I shit you not!). The best part is that this is largely believed to be a hit job by the governor himself, and has started a blood feud between him and the Kennedy clan. Which pretty much means he will ultimately share the fate of Jimmy Hoffa. Of course I’m speculating on that last part.

Let’s not forget Ken Gibson, the first black mayor of Newark and herald of a “nw era” was indicted in 2000 for bilking school systems and his protage’ James Sharpe was indicted a year or so ago for selling city owned properties at a discount to his “friend” Tamika Riley…half his age. He was convicted earlier this year.
Which makes three Mayors of Newark in a row convicted of felonies.
