Yet Andrew Poplawski isn’t a typical conservative. Look at how Charles Johnson describes him.
Poplawski was a follower of conspiracy freak Alex Jones (recently promoted by Judge Andrew Napolitano on Fox News as “the great Alex Jones”), a member of the revolting neo-Nazi website Stormfront, and an antisemite who believed that Jews secretly control America.
All of the above are repudiated by conservatives and especially conservative talk radio. Interestingly the idea that America is in the grip of Zionists and that 9-11 was an inside job are ideas that can be found written about and enthusiastically commented on at Daily Kos.
The problem is that the Vast Left Wing Conspiracy has so many members of the press in it the the MSM will never report this accurately. At this point a ban on Assault rifles is almost a certainty,

Frankly, I think you’re overreacting. Note how far they got with the restrictions in CA after the Stockton and San Francisco shootings. Note further that that was pre-Heller. I expect you will see calls for bans, and attempts at greater restrictions.
But, realistically, Pelosi and more importantly Reid both realize that actually doing something like that would destroy their hold on Congress at the next election.
That’s why I linked to the reports about Journo-List. It is a talking points echo machine. If the left punditry acts in concert Reid and Pelosi will have no choice.
Honestly? I think journo-list is over-rated. Yes, it does have an impact. But, from the bleachers, it’s much more of a small, inbred clique than anything else. It’s like saying Glenn Greenwald dicatetes editorial at Salon. Like saying moveon.org represents the entire Democratic party.
