Someone dropped the ball

Dressed in traditional Jordanian garb Maj. Hasan gets a cup of coffee and a hash brown. A regular occurrence.

Born in America he wears traditional clothing. He has been reported to have been very vocally opposed to American military objectives in the Middle East. He recently rediscovered his Islamic roots. And he complained bitterly to his superiors about being sent to Iraq or Afghanistan.

And now we know that Federal Agents had been aware of him making disturbing internet posts equating jihad with a soldier who dives on a grenade to save his fellow soldiers.

Someone dropped the ball. At the least they should have revised his orders for overseas deployment.

Teddy Roosevelt talked almost a century ago about the danger of hyphenated Americans. And the liberal / socialist / PC agenda for the last 50 years has pushed that in the name of diversity. Is it any wonder that people have put being an American secondary in terms of what is important ?
When being an American is secondary to the homeland of your ancestors, or the land you were originally born in, or your religion, or your color, or your sexual preference, we all get to pay that price.
